I wanted a single cup coffee machine because I live alone however, I need to have the hottest cup of coffee possible. So for me, this feature was extremely important. This machine did the trick keeping my morning coffee very hot.It also offers an option for strong which I use for my first cup then the next one I make regular. I love it. My biggest frustration with prior ones, they splashed too much making a clean up after every cup or I would have to microwave my brewed coffee afterwards. Not with this coffee machine, it does not splash and my coffee is brewed very hot.
